Ok, I'm really nervous because today, I'm turning in all of the various bits and pieces that make up a Resident Assistant application. Gah! I'm currently straddling the fence... I REALLY want the job because it looks amazing on a resume, I get to give back to the college, and I get free room and technology and other things.
On the other hand, if I do not get the job, I get to go home on the 7th of May, as opposed to whenever the heck the R.A. training is over.
Therein lies my dilemma. I think that I'll get it. I hope. *fingers crossed*
So, that's my angst for the day.
In other news, my mom had major back surgery yesterday... lumbar fusion (she said "That sounds like some kind of energy drink!") and she pulled through fine. Now all that's left is the long road of recovery.
In OTHER other news, I found out, via my sister's facebook, that my hometown in Connecticut has an outbreak of Swine Flu. She has today and tomorrow off because one of the teachers at the high school tested positive, and they closed down the school to sanitize the CRAP out of it.
So, that's going to be interesting to come home to.
