Well, it's been a while since I last wrote. And a couple of things have happened!
Event the First: I AM NOW AN R. A. (resident assistant) AT MY COLLEGE! HUZZAH!!!!
Event the Second: For my Intro to Theater final, I was the only person to actually give a recitation from a play. I did Shakespeare's Henry V "Saint Crispin's Day" monologue and I (ok, this sounds really self-centered, but you just HAVE to gloat over some things...) kicked SO MUCH ASS!!! That particular monologue is one that, once you've heard it or recited it, makes you want to PUNCH something! Not out of violence, more out of adrenaline and triumph... a "GRAAH! I'M SO PUMPED UP!!!" kind of punch. BUT, I restrained myself and packed up most of the stuff in my dorm room instead.
Event the Third: My first year at college has ended. I'm back home in Connecticut now! And minus my fish, which is
Event the Fourth: My fish died. :( Farewell, Maximus Aurelius (yes, that is what my fish was named. After a gladiator.) you shall be missed!
And that's about it. I'm stuck at home and need to get a job and my driver's license... and other various things. Really looking forward to the summer.... even though I miss my friends from college something terrible. Ah, well. I'll see them via Facebook and next year! ^_^

Face, meet keyboard. Introduce yourselves.
I don't know how I managed it, but I wrote a five page memo last night for my Introduction to Theater class. In this memo, I argued why taking theater out of high schools would be a BAD idea. And in said memo, I, I don't know how, compared Shakespeare's Macbeth to Henry V. I wouldn't be able to do that now if my life depended on it.
In other news, my mom is out of surgery and recovering fine.
In OTHER other news, my hometown now has outbreaks of swine flu. Or whatever the hell they're calling it. My sister had yesterday and today off because one of the teachers at her high school tested positive, and they had to shut it down to SANITIZE THE CRAP out of it. Fun.
And in MORE other news...
I'm now the vice-president of our drama club, T.H.E.S (Theatrical Horde of Entertaining Students) here at my college. *sits down in shock* Whoa. Holy Crap. I'm flabbergasted and insanely honored at the same time! We were having our last, brief meeting of the year, and were discussing electing new officers for next year. My friend John-Mike said, "I vote Noelles (my nickname) for vice-pres! Who seconds it?" The votes were unanimous. Wow. I'm still pinching myself!
So, that's about it. I'm getting my interviews for (hopefully) being an R.A. scheduled, so that's what I'm going to be doing next week, along with my finals. Whoo. Gonna be busy.
Well, I have to go now, because I have class. Will write more later!
Fair wind and full sail,
Moriah
